Spoiler Theory for illumicrate's July Book!
Updated: Jun 1, 2022
Edit: illumicrate has posted emoji spoilers, and based on those, I now believe that their July pick is...
So…illumicrate had a live yesterday, and in it they revealed some clues as to what their July 2022 book would be! I’ve done some looking and have come up with a theory!
Books releasing near July by authors who have previously published series but are now publishing a new book that is not a part of the previous series but could be possibly tied into it (that could also be stand alone novels):
My Pick:
Reasoning:
Releases closest to July
Gilbert's other books are very "upper YA" (they have very mature content)
Gilbert's books match those often picked for illumicrate boxes
Seems to be a standalone (no indication it is part of a series)
Sounds like it could be part of The Hazel Wood world (alternate worlds, magic, mother/daughter relationships)
While I was hoping for the July book to be The Drowned Woods by Emily Lloyd-Jones, I just don't think it is because the release date is so far into August.
So, what are your thoughts? Do you have any other titles that could be the July pick that I overlooked?
